Studio Supervisor(Job Share Role)

About the Role
We are looking for two friendly, reliable and organised individuals to share a key role in our busy pottery painting studio.
This is not just a standard team member role — you will be responsible for running the studio day-to-day, leading staff, hosting parties, and ensuring every customer has a fantastic experience.
- Opening and closing the studio
- Running pottery painting sessions and hosting children's and adult's parties
- Leading and supporting other team members during shifts
- Creating a welcoming, well-organised environment
- Supporting customers throughout their visit
- Handling bookings, payments and using our studio systems/app confidently
- Preparing and resetting tables between sessions
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the studio
- Taking initiative to ensure the studio runs smoothly at all times
- Varnishing ceramic pieces and in future learning kiln preparation
Working Pattern & Hours
We are recruiting for two positions to share the week:
Supervisor 1
Thursday, Friday, Saturday📚 Term Time (approx.)
- Thursday10:00 – 12:00
- Friday16:00 – 18:00
- Saturday10:00 – 17:00
🌞 School Holidays
- Thu – Sat10:00 – 17:00
- Alternate Wed10:00 – 17:00
Supervisor 2
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday📚 Term Time (approx.)
- Sunday10:00 – 14:30
- Monday12:00 – 14:00
- Tuesday10:00 – 12:00
🌞 School Holidays
- Sun10:00 – 14:30
- Mon – Tue10:00 – 17:00
- Alternate Wed10:00 – 17:00
Hours may vary depending on bookings, with occasional opportunities for additional hours.
⚡ You must be flexible and able to cover each other's shifts for holidays and sickness.

- Comfortable leading a team and taking responsibility for a shift
- Able to use apps/technology confidently
- Someone who takes initiative without needing to be asked
- Happy to carry out cleaning and washing up to a high standard
- A team player who can also work independently
🎨 Art skills are not essential — delivering a great customer experience is!
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a customer-facing role
- Confidence using technology/apps in a working environment
- Ability to step into a leadership role and support other staff

🗓 Start Date: We are looking for candidates who can start as soon as possible. Our current temporary supervisor is with us until the end of April, so there will be a structured handover and training period.
